At Beeston Park, every specification decision is made with long-term performance and design integrity in mind, and the roof is no exception. Each home is fitted with Viridian Solar's Clearline Fusion, a roof integrated solar PV system selected for its combination of engineering quality and architectural compatibility.
Viridian Solar was founded in 2004 by engineers from the University of Cambridge, and over more than a decade has built a strong reputation for the durability, aesthetics and quality of its products. In 2021, the company was acquired by Marley Ltd, one of the most established names in UK roofing with over 100 years of heritage, and now operates within Marshalls Group, a leading UK supplier of building, roofing and landscaping solutions.
This pedigree was a key factor in our decision to specify Clearline Fusion across Beeston Park.

Clearline Fusion is the UK's market leading roof integrated solar PV system, specified by both volume housebuilders and individual homeowners seeking to reduce energy costs without affecting the external appearance of their home.
Unlike traditional above-roof rack mounted panels, Clearline Fusion replaces the tiles or slates on the roof entirely. The panels sit flush within the roofline, finished with discreet clamps and close panel spacing, creating a clean, integrated appearance consistent with the surrounding roofing material rather than an addition to it. For a development where architectural detail and material consistency are central to the design brief, this was an important specification requirement.

Performance was equally critical to the decision. Clearline Fusion is the only roof integrated solar system with independent third-party accreditation confirming its expected lifetime, and offers wind resistance more than four times higher than competitor products. A patented push-fit connection method creates a secure, weather-tight seal, with typical installation times of under 45 minutes per kWp, no requirement for additional roofing battens or roof modification, and full compatibility with both slate and tile roofing.
This level of engineering reflects the same standard applied across every specification decision at Beeston Park.
"Initially, we undertook a great deal of market research into the various solar systems available and found Viridian to have incredible customer service, along with very knowledgeable design and sales teams who helped us integrate their system into our latest residential schemes.
We also take huge comfort in the fact that Viridian is backed by the Marshalls and Marley Group of companies, who are market leaders in their specialist fields and whom we have used on our residential schemes for a long time.
Viridian also passed us leads for their 'Preferred Installers', which is how we came across the excellent team at P4 Solar." - Phil Brassell, Head of Construction
Clearline Fusion does not operate in isolation. At Beeston Park, it forms part of a fully integrated suite of sustainable technology, working alongside battery storage, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation, smart LED lighting and EV charging points as standard. Together, these systems are designed to reduce each home's energy demand and environmental impact, without affecting comfort or design.
Viridian Solar's approach to sustainability extends beyond the product itself. For every five Clearline Fusion panels installed, a tree is planted, and the company operates under Marshalls Group's Built for the Future framework, which prioritises transparency, long-term thinking and verified, responsible manufacturing practices. This is an approach closely aligned with the standards we apply across the development of Beeston Park.

The decision to specify Viridian Solar was based on a combination of performance, durability and architectural compatibility, consistent with the standards applied throughout Beeston Park.
The result is a solar PV system that performs to a high technical standard while remaining fully integrated into the design of each home.
